I've purchased many Rimmel products over the years -- eye makeup remover, powder, foundation, blush, eyebrow pencils, and mascara. Rimmel is a brand that is affordable and accessible. You can find their products in stores like Wal-Mart and Target as well as in pharmacies like CVS or Walgreens.
Several months ago, I simply became bored with my everyday mascara, so I thought I would try one of the Rimmel offerings. Since their products are so inexpensive, it never really seems like a risk to try them. I went for the "Scandaleyes flex," but at that time, I am pretty sure it was in an orange tube. I thought it made my lashes full and long, and it was easy to use. However, my lashes felt a bit hard and sort of "brittle" (although they didn't break), too. It didn't seem to have much flex at all. But, alas, I noticed this mascara in a green tube recently and thought I would give it a whirl. I am very pleased with it. In fact, once this tube is done, I am going to replace it lickedy-split! I suspect that Rimmel may have reformulated this one, and it no longer makes my lashes feel dry, stiff, or brittle. In fact, this mascara gives you so much volume and length that you have to be careful -- the more you brush it on, the bigger they get! If you are the least bit compulsive (like me), you could potentially brush and brush and brush...
I also have problems with my hands, so a nice, big tube like this with a big brush is great. I feel that it is very easy to use, although I have read reviews of similar products where people felt that a bigger brush was difficult to control. For me, it is perfect. Bigger brush means less time to swipe it on and be done! I also like the fact that you can feel and hear a bit of a snap when you close the tube completely (you have to twist to close). It's just a nice little "extra" so that you know your mascara is closed and will not dry out the next day!
